Low Calorie Turkey Lasagna


1.Raw turkey, ground: 1 pound

2.Lasagna noodles: 4

3.Onions, chopped: ¼ cup

4.Tomato sauce: 1 can, 15oz

5.Tomato: 1 can, 7½oz

6.Garlic, minced: 1 clove

7.Oregano, dried : ¼ teaspoon

8.Basil, dried: ½ teaspoon

9.Mushrooms, drained: 1 can, 4oz

10.Snipped parsley: 2 tablespoon

11.Ricotta cheese with part skim milk: 1 cup

12.Skim milk: 2 tablespoon

13.Parmesan cheese, grated: 2 tablespoon

14.Mozzarella cheese, shredded: ¾ cup


Take the noodles and cook it according to the directions on the package. In the meantime, take a large skillet and start cooking the turkey, garlics and onions, till the meat turns brown and the onions turn tender. Drain off the fat. Now cut the tomatoes. Take the turkey mixture and stir in the tomato sauce, un-drained tomatoes, oregano and basil. Bring this mixture to a boil. Now lower the heat and simmer it uncovered. Combine together the parsley, Parmesan, Ricotta and one eighth teaspoon pepper. Now arrange half of the lasagna noodles in a baking dish with 10 by 6 by 2 inch dimensions. Then spread half the meat mixture over it. Layer the remaining lasagna noodles, the remaining meat mixture, and the Ricotta cheese. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top. Now cover the dish and freeze for about 1½ to 2 hours, until it is firm. Take it out and cut the lasagna into six portions. Then, label, seal and freeze it. Before you serve, bake the frozen lasagna at 375 degrees for about 50 minutes. Now uncover the dish and finally bake it for another 10 minutes. Let it stand for a few more minutes, before you serve.

Low Calorie Ground Beef Lasagna


1.Beef, ground: 1 pound

2.Onion, minced: ¼ cup

3.Parsley : 1 teaspoon

4.Oregano: ¼ teaspoon

5.Basil:1 teaspoon

6.Tomato juice:16oz

7.Mozzarella cheese: 4oz

8.Garlic and pepper: as per the individual’s taste

9.Mushrooms, drained: 4oz

10.Spinach, thawed, chopped and drained: 4oz package

11.Cottage cheese: 6oz


Take the ground beef and the onion and combine it with the tomato sauce, the mushrooms and the spices. Squeeze the liquid from the spinach. Now combine the spinach and the cottage cheese. Cut the cheese into thin strips and then start layering the spinach, first with meat, then by cheese and followed by hard cheese. Bake the lasagna at 375 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes and then serve.
